Everdale Organic Farm & Environmental Learning Centre

In 2011, I completed my first farming season and a Sustainable Farming Certificate at Everdale Organic Farm and Environmental Learning Centre. As part of a large farm team, I raised laying hens, cared for ruminant livestock, and produced 10 acres of vegetables for a CSA, farmers’ markets and wholesale. I also had the chance to tour over 30 farms in SW Ontario as part of the Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training (CRAFT) network.

My first year working intimately with nature every day and living in sync with the seasons was a life changing experience. I’ve had the privilege to live and work this way ever since, and this embodied rhythm has forever changed my sense of what it means to be human – within and as a part of the natural world.
